Overfill for iOS, version 1.0 · updated 25 August 2026
One person builds and answers this, so replies take a day or two rather than minutes. If you are reporting a problem, the two things that help most are your iOS version and what you were doing when it happened.
Watching a bar fill, and then deciding when to spill it. The bar fills on its own at a rate you can raise. Each completed bar mints coins, coins buy the five upgrades, and the upgrades change how the bar behaves. That is the loop.
No — that is the whole idea, and the app is named after it. The bar keeps going half again past the line, and everything above the line is what you can bank in Spill Over. A bar sitting at 131% is working exactly as intended.
It clears your coins, your bar, and all five upgrades, and hands back a permanent multiplier that applies from then on. The sheet says so before you confirm it. Nothing else survives, and nothing is hidden — if the sheet says you bank 12, you bank 12.
There is no single correct answer and the game does not have one in mind. Spilling early trades a strong board for a bigger multiplier sooner; spilling late does the reverse. Both work. If the Spill over row says Nothing to bank yet, you are simply not far enough along for the trade to exist.
They do five different jobs, and the prices are set so the order matters rather than converging on one solution: Flow fills faster, Short Pour needs less to fill, Reservoir holds more while you are away, Spill Value makes the overflow pay better, and Momentum makes the bank worth more. Fifty-two levels between them. There is no correct build to look up.
Yes. The game works out how long you were gone and settles it when you return, then shows a report of how long you were away, how many bars filled, and what it earned. You do not have to leave the app open, and leaving it open is not better.
You hit the ceiling. There is a limit on how much can accrue while you are away, and once you reach it the bar holds there rather than continuing. Reservoir is the upgrade that raises the limit: it starts at two hours of accrual and takes you past thirty hours when fully bought. The game tells you when you hit the ceiling rather than quietly pretending it was still counting.
Please do not — it is not a supported way to play and it can leave your game in a state the app has to correct. The settlement is worked out from real elapsed time.
Only if you ask it to. Both reminders are off until you turn them on in Settings, and there are exactly two: one when the bar stops accruing, one when a spill is ready. That is the entire notification surface — no streaks, no daily prods, no "we miss you".
Check iOS Settings › Notifications › Overfill — if permission was declined, the app cannot schedule anything, and it says so rather than pretending. The reminders are also scheduled for a point in the future, so one will not appear immediately after you enable it. The game plays identically either way.
The unprompted full-screen kind is rationed in the app's own code, not by a policy anyone can quietly relax: none in the first ten minutes of a session, at least five minutes between any two, and no more than three per session. There is no banner on the play screen and no ad on launch.
Exactly what it says, and nothing happens unless you tap it. Watch an ad and the bar runs at double rate for an hour. It is optional, it is the only ad you are ever asked to choose, and skipping it forever is a perfectly good way to play.
The unprompted full-screen ads, permanently. It is a single purchase, not a subscription.
Open Settings in the game and tap Restore purchases, signed into the same Apple Account. If it says there is nothing to restore, you are signed into a different Apple Account than the one that bought it. Restore stays on screen whether or not you own the purchase, so you never have to go hunting for it.
That is the App Store being unreachable rather than anything wrong with your purchase — usually a network blip. Try again in a moment. If a purchase is waiting on approval (Ask to Buy), the game says so and unlocks itself once it goes through; you do not need to buy again.
Refunds are handled entirely by Apple — nobody here can see or process a payment. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and choose Overfill. Do email if something is actually broken, though: a bug I can fix is more useful to both of us than a refund.
No. Everything is stored locally and there is no server, so there is nothing to sync with — each device keeps its own game. The Remove ads purchase is the one thing that does follow your Apple Account, via Restore purchases.
Only from your own device backup. Deleting the app deletes its files, and because there is no server, the developer holds no copy to restore. Restoring your iPhone from an iCloud or Finder backup made before the deletion brings the app's files back with it. Your purchase is unaffected either way — restore it as above.
Decline iOS's tracking prompt, or switch Overfill off later in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. If you were shown a consent form, the Privacy options row in the game's own Settings reopens it. Full detail on the privacy policy.
None. There is no account, no sign-up, and no copy of your game anywhere but your own device, so there is no data-access or deletion request to file with the developer. The advertising data described on the privacy policy is held by Google, and Google's own controls reach it.
Overfill follows your Dynamic Type setting and the layout is checked at the largest sizes — but if something is cut off or overlapping on your device, that is a bug worth an email. Tell me your text size (Settings › Display & Brightness › Text Size, or Accessibility if you use the larger range) and a screenshot if you can.
Yes. The bar, the buy buttons and the multiplier all announce themselves in words rather than symbols. If something reads wrongly or has no label at all, that is worth an email too — it is the kind of bug that is easy to fix and hard to notice.
Email is the whole system: app.contact.support@gmail.com. There is no forum, no tracker, and no Discord to join. Feature requests are read; a reply may take a couple of days.
